Previous experience in a variety of real estate related fields has given me a unique overview of the industry. The experience includes: previous real estate sales, property management, contract law, title research, analysis and examination, document verification and recordation, survey mapping, drafting review and subdivision implementation, and residential property appraisal. 

In addition previously as a senior mortgage processor, I was responsible for mortgage origination, credit qualification and loan processing, interpretation and instruction on VA, FHA,VHDA and Conventional program underwriting guidelines to junior processors and loan officer apprentices. Previous credit underwriters’ training has further expanded the solid base of my experience and focus to specific situations and guideline interpretation and application. 

I have consistently maintained exceptionally high quality control scores as documented by the TEN A Company reports and have maintained a high standard of excellence as reported in the Chevy Chase Bank annual employee reviews. 

My current and previous position as a loan officer has given me the opportunity to work directly with the public again in a sales, counseling and educational manner. As a VHDA certified trainer since 1997, I facilitate and conduct homebuyer’s seminars monthly for the public, both at the Hampton Roads Realtor Association with the Tidewater Mortgage Bankers Association and seven local US Naval Bases. 

I have also trained fellow mortgage professionals and real estate agents in all aspects of home financing, including special grant and loan programs such as HUD, HOME, VHDA, Partnership, Regional Loan and FHA 203k Rehab programs. I am currently the Past-President for TMBA, Vice President of the Virginia Mortgage Lenders Association and a Certified Faculty Member of Virginia MBA.
